Sunshine Tree Montessori School mini-history
40 years ago a few close friends were not happy with our children’s education so we decided to start our own school. We had had experience with Montessori, so this was our choice of method. Our children thrived and have grown into exceptional adults. As a result of that searching for quality education, we have continued to guide and nurture children for 39 years.
We are affiliated with the American Montessori Society and adhere to the highest standards of Montessori education. Each person affiliated with Sunshine Tree Montessori School has a deep conviction that a child deserves respect, and an environment in which his or her potential can be achieved emotionally, socially and intellectually. This environment where the child is motivated from within to learn, and by working with Montessori equipment, discovers the joy of learning that will continue throughout life.
